Forgive

Forgive
My heart blossoms with joy, love and peace.

To prepare a flower bed or garden, I begin by removing weeds, stones or the remains of previous plantings. Working steadily and with patience, I open the space to sunlight, air and moisture.

With each handful that I remove, I see more of the potential for the garden I have in mind. When it is clear, I rake the soil. I now have a perfect spot in which to plant my seeds of choice.

Forgiveness is much like preparing a garden. I prepare my heart by removing--one handful at a time--the debris of resentment, misunderstanding or anger. My heart opens to divine light and love. It is the perfect place for joy, love and peace to blossom.

Pet Blessing

Pet Blessing
Every creature is created and blessed by love.

There are an amazing variety of beings on Earth--those with fur, feathers or fins, and those with scales, shells or skin. Each one is created with its own unique characteristics, habits, traits and ways of expressing. When I bring one of these creatures into my life, this pet becomes a channel for love.

I give love as I care for my pets. I protect them and give them a place to live and grow. I receive love as my pets respond to my voice and movements. A wagging tail speaks the simple language of love.

I am grateful for the activity of Spirit evident in the love, support and peace that pets bring. Daily Word

Strength

Strength
Strength stands as a mountain and flows like a river within me.

I may sometimes feel as though too much has been asked of me or that too much has been taken from me. At such times, I pray and feel the strength of God within me.

Nothing too great can be asked of me, for I am a mountain of strength. I stand tall and serene. I am a powerful force for God's will. Nothing that is of God, such as hope, courage and faith, can be taken from me. I am a river of faith. I am empowered by love, yet able to yield when nonresistance is the best course of action. I set my course with faith and love.

As I affirm these prayers, I become calm and see new possibilities for life ahead of me. I am a mountain of strength, a river of faith. I stand in serenity and flow in love. Daily Word
